Headquartered in Mumbai, with prominent global presence in North America & Europe, and state-of-the-art offshore delivery centres (ODC) in India, we support businesses in focused verticals of Transportation & Mobility, Industrial Equipment & Heavy Machinery, and Healthcare & Lifesciences.

With a scalable outsourcing and offshore model across 6 countries, a fast-growing team of 2800+ employees, and long-term customer associations, we accelerate innovation and maximize returns on R&D investments for our marquee customers. Mr. Harish S. Mehta
Executive Chairman

Mr. Harish Mehta has founded, led, grown, and mentored Onward across two generations as MD & Chairman. Having co-founded NASSCOM, he is credited for being the driving force behind galvanizing Indian IT industry. Mr. Mehta is the award-winning author of 2022’s National Bestseller, The Maverick Effect. He is also credited with having introduced The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE) to India.

He has been honoured with multiple Lifetime Achievement Awards, by Deccan Herald (2004), IMC Chamber of Commerce and Industry (2018) and DataQuest ICT Business Awards (2023) for his contributions to the Indian IT industry. In recognition of his role in propagating the development of the IT industry for the past 25 years, he has also been honoured by India’s Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi. On an academic note, Mr. Harish Mehta holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the College of Engineering, Pune, and a Master’s degree in Computer Science from Brooklyn Polytechnic Institute, New York (USA).

Mr. Jigar Mehta
Managing Director

Mr. Jigar Mehta has 19+ years of experience in sales, business strategy, finance, and HR functions. As our Managing Director, he lends direction and leads strategy in the primary markets of North America, Europe and India. He has been instrumental in transforming a family business of 300 employees to a 2800+ strong team today. Mr. Jigar Mehta is an active member of EO Mumbai chapter and is deeply engaged in our CSR initiatives. Mr. Jigar Mehta completed graduation in Business administration from Boston University Massachusetts (USA), is an alumnus of St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai, and is currently pursuing an Executive MBA from the Harvard Business School.

Mr. Jay Sonawala
Non-Executive Independent Director

Mr. Jay Sonawala is an Executive Vice-President of HDFC Bank. He has been with HDFC since 1999, working across textiles, cement, automobiles, and IT/ITES industries. He has extensive experience in IT/ITeS and BFSI sectors. He has performed several roles in HDFC Bank across cities on the wholesale banking side and has worked on both, the asset and liability side of the balance sheet. He had completed his Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from Mumbai's Sydenham College of Commerce and Economics and his Master’s degree in Business from NMIMS Institute.

Mr. Harsha Raghavan
Non-Executive Director

Mr. Harsha Raghavan is the Managing Partner of Convergent Finance LLP. He was previously the founding MD & CEO of Fairbridge Capital Private Limited (a Fairfax Company) from its inception in 2011 where he led all investment advisory activities in India. During his time, he sourced and advised on over $2.1 billion worth of investment activity. Previously, he served as Head of India for Candover Investments, Co‐Head of India for Goldman Sachs Principal Investment Area and Vice President for Indocean Chase Capital. In these roles, Mr. Harsha Raghavan advised on more than two dozen transactions totalling over $1.5 billion in value. He holds a Master of Business Administration degree and Master of Science degree in industrial engineering, both from Stanford University, and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California in Berkeley, where he double majored in computer science and economics.

Ms. Niranjani C.
Non-Executive Independent Director

Ms. Niranjani C. was appointed as a female Independent Director on the Board of Onward Technologies in September, 2022. She is a finance professional with more than 21 years of diversified experience in leading business strategy, marketing, sales, supply chain, external financial reporting, audit and compliance for large global MNCs viz. Hershey, Proctor & Gamble, Nokia & Unilever across regions and roles. Over these years, she has lived in 5 cities, 2 countries and worked across various business verticals namely Strategy, Business Planning, Financial Analysis, GTM, Supply Chain, External Reporting, Stewardship, Treasury and Information Systems. She is an engaging communicator and has outstanding negotiation and crisis management skills. She has a keen passion to develop people, processes, and systems and believes in inculcating diversity as a way of working across organizations and teams. She has completed her MBA and CFA from the Institute of Financial Analysts and is a CFA ranker.

Mr. Jai Diwanji
Non-Executive Independent Director

Mr. Jai Diwanji has completed his education from the University of Cambridge (UK) with B.A. in Law degree in 1997. Additionally, he also holds a Business Service Management degree from Tulane University (USA). He is an advocate with 25+ years of experience and is presently a partner at Desai & Diwanji, a full-service Indian law firm. His practice includes advising national and international corporates and other multifarious enterprises in the areas of mergers & acquisitions, private equity, joint ventures and general corporate law. He is an Independent Director on the Board of several other companies.

Mr. Dhanpal Jhaveri
Non-Executive Independent Director

Mr. Dhanpal Jhaveri is the Vice Chairman of Everstone Group, a premier investment group with assets in excess of $7 billion. He is also the CEO of Eversource Capital. He is a global industrial leader and established regional fund manager as well. Passionate about the environment and investing, Mr. Dhanpal Jhaveri is associated with CII as a member of its Renewable Energy Council and its National Committee on Private Equity and Venture Capital. He is also on the Finance Advisory Panel of The India Sanitation Coalition (ISC). Additionally, he is a member of the Managing Committee of the Indian Merchant’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry. He also mentors young business leaders and entrepreneurs ardently and is a member of Entrepreneurs’ Organization (EO). He is also a Board member and an Ex-President of TiE, Mumbai and the Board member of Avasara Leadership Institute. He has a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Mumbai and a Master of Business Administration from Babson College, USA.
